Songwright exists to hold your demos privately and share them only when you choose to. Here is everything we collect and why.
What we store
Your account email (and name, if your sign-in provider shares it); the audio files, titles, lyrics, and albums you upload; and the share links you create. Audio is stored privately — it is only ever served to you, or to someone opening a share link you enabled.
Listen stats
When someone opens a share link, we record that a listen happened and roughly how many seconds were played, along with a coarse, anonymous listener identifier derived from the browser. No cookies, no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics.
What we never do
We don't sell or share your data, we don't train anything on your music, and we don't make demos public. Turning a share link off immediately stops access. Deleting a demo deletes its file.
Where it lives
Accounts, data, and audio are hosted on Supabase; the site runs on Vercel. Sign-in through Google, Apple, or Facebook shares only your basic profile with us, governed by their own policies.
